Double Puck
Double Puck was the first development undertaken by Ballands Homes, a 4,500ft² bespoke five bedroom house with separate two bay garage and games room over, situated in the beautiful village of Crawley. Construction was completed in early 2015.
Designed by eminent local architect Paul Masser, the classic Georgian style house was built to fit in with the similar style houses in the village. Using Michelmersh hand made bricks and incorporating knapped flint panels to the front, with partial clay tile hanging to the rear, the house was fitted with timber sash windows and stone sills, with a hipped clay tiled roof and fitted with black aluminium guttering.
Inside the house, great care and attention to detail was made to create a contemporary take on a traditional house. The interior combined classic features with a quality finish to create a beautiful yet functional family home. Tiles were from Porcelanosa, Sanitary ware from Duravit, The kitchen from local supplier Winchester Kitchens and the staircases supplied by Multiturn in Twyford. Underfloor heating was installed throughout with French oak engineered flooring installed to the hallway and reception rooms along with a limestone fireplace and wood burning stove to the living room.
The mature trees in the garden were retained, circulation areas landscaped, new flower beds and planters created, hedging planted and a gravel drive laid.
